Olympic Moves

The Olympics are in full swing and has pretty much the whole nation gripped.

If this isn’t the time to get you hooked into exercise, I really don’t know what is!

So if you fancy reigniting your keep fit journey, then why not give these following exercise moves a go.

The best bit is, you don’t need any equipment (unless you want to up the intensity with weights) and you can do them in the comfort of your home while watching the games.

Master these moves and team them up with a balanced nutrition diet and a bit of cardio (walking, gentle jogging, swimming) and you’re on your way to be a winner.

The Squat : It works the quads, the glutes, calves as well as your core. Try to imagine you’re about to sit on a chair keeping your weight in the heels.

The Lunge: It works your glutes, hamstrings, quads and calves. Try not to lean forward too much and have a wide enough stride keeping your back upright.

The Shoulder Press : It works your shoulders, triceps and the muscles on the side of your neck. Try to keep your arms slightly in front of your body.

The Row : It works your upper and mid back muscles, biceps and the back of your shoulders. Keep your back as straight as possible.

The Chest Press: It works your chest muscles, your shoulders and the muscles near your rib cage.

The Bicep Curl : It works the front of your arms, Keep your body still and let your arms do the work.

Tricep Extension. It works the back of your arms. Keep your elbows pointed to the ceiling.
